Founded in 1985 as the American Association of Retired Persons, the AARP focuses on issues affecting Americans from age fifty and above. With over 39 million members, the AARP sends magazines and bulletins across the United States that are considered the largest publications in the US. The association advocates for better healthcare, health insurance, and social security among others. AARP is also involved has a sizable grant program.
