Now knows as CORE, this nonprofit organization founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee started by focusing on the difficult state of affairs in Haiti and then expanded efforts to include Hurricane Ida relief, COVID-19 response, and the recent earthquake in Haiti. CORE is now known as a crisis response organization that mobilizes to fill the gaps wherever it can to improve any given situation.
