Founded by a handful of military wives in 1969, the National Military Family Association initially focused on providing for the needs of military widows. Today, NMFA enhances the quality of life for every military family with dynamic solutions, advocacy, and programming directly with families. The Association also makes an impact by working with members on Capitol Hill and the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
